The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is a Nintendo DS dedicated wireless access point that plugs into the USB port on a PC. Use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector if you do not have access to a wireless network connection, or unable to connect your Nintendo DS to the internet with your current connection.

Note: the DSi now comes with WPA Security, and therefore if you have access to a wireless router, this product in unnecessary. The earlier Nintendo DS only supports WEP security. If you wish to access the internet via a DS, but don’t want to compromise your wireless security, then you should consider using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector or purchasing a Nintendo DSi which supports the WPA protocols natively.
